Who makes stickers?

That would be me!

Hi, I’m Kat 👋🏻 I create systems and processes that free up creative people to be their most creative selves. My friends say my superpower is getting shit done, and my coworkers know me as the one who’ll call it like I see it (sometimes to my detriment).

I live in Chicago with my partner, J, and our cats, Beans and Sushi, all of whom make frequent appearances in my meetings when I’m working from home as owner of Kat Makes Stickers and founder of Widows Lost & Found. My current hobbies include zine-making, coffee shop-hopping, traveling as often as my budget allows, adding to my modest tattoo collection, and sleeping through my alarm.

Catch me on Instagram sharing my experience with grief and widowhood (#whosthatwidowitskat) or traveling the world (#widowworldtour) to spend time with people who love me and my late husband, Michael.

Values, Isms, and Policies

These are my core values, a few of the words I live by (isms) and how they show up in my work (policies).

  • We are all the main characters of our own lives. We deserve autonomy, dignity, and confidence.

  • We are always learning, creating the life we want to live and the person we want to be.

  • The things we do and say matter. We are accountable for our actions, words, choices, and perceptions.

  • Do it for the bit. Not everything has to be serious. Do the things you love just because you love them.

  • Live out loud. We can’t learn from each other’s journeys if we don’t talk about them.

  • No penalties for rescheduling, ever.

Time is fake and priorities are subjective. If you need to reschedule, I totally understand and will never charge a cancellation fee.

If you need to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, or if you reschedule frequently, you may want to buy me a coffee for the inconvenience.

  • My own life has been filled with many different people from many different walks of life, cultures, countries, religions, and worldviews. It’s important to me to be an in-the-gap person, to be a bridge between all the side characters in my story, to empower them to be the best main character they can in theirs.

  • In a world constantly evolving with new technologies, it's easy to feel overwhelmed or jaded. From the endless scroll of social media to the rapidly advancing capabilities of artificial intelligence, these tools often come with their share of complexities and ethical considerations. I'm navigating this landscape right alongside you, and I believe that technology, while powerful, isn't inherently good or bad – it's how we choose to use it.

Here at Kat Makes Stickers, I embrace innovation thoughtfully. I see social media as a valuable platform for connection, inspiration, and sharing the incredible work of creatives like you. It's a space where voices can be amplified and communities can flourish.

Similarly, I view AI not as a replacement for human ingenuity, but as a powerful assistive tool. When wielded intentionally, AI can help streamline tasks, spark new ideas, and provide efficiencies that free up your precious time for what you do best: creating.

I'm also deeply aware of the environmental impact of AI and other intensive technologies. That's why I'm committed to limiting my use wherever I can to be as kind to the planet as possible while still improving my workflow, and I'll help you explore ways to do the same.

My commitment is to leverage these technologies in ways that support your autonomy, amplify your authenticity, and foster your growth. I'm here to help you understand how to harness these tools effectively, allowing them to serve your vision rather than dictate it. Like any tool, the goal is to make it work for you, helping you craft the life and business of your dreams with more ease and fun.
