Creative Support Group
You’re not meant to do your creative life alone. Creative Support Group is a 16-week, hybrid (Chicago or virtual) weekly group for creatives who want structure, community, and gentle accountability while making time for art. We’ll use a mix of discussion, prompts, and check-ins (inspired by The Artist’s Way) to help you get unstuck, stay connected to your practice, and keep moving—whether you’re in a season of change, burnout, or simply ready to make more.
Expect weekly 90-minute sessions, creative homework you can take or leave, and access to a private Discord for ongoing support between calls.
What you get:
Creative prompts and media recommendations
Join a cohort of other creatives like you to learn with and from
Weekly group check-ins to keep you on track
Access to private Discord channels for community and accountability
Schedule
The creative support group meets weekly for 90 minutes for a combination book club/support group/creative workshop. Do the reading and homework between sessions (or don’t! also fine!) and join weekly calls to discuss and get support.
Cohort begins in May. Participate however you are able, whether just on Discord, in weekly sessions online or in person, or in spirit from afar. We’ll celebrate the close of the 16-week cycle with a community art show!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Nope. If you’re a creative person (or want to be), you’re welcome—writers, designers, musicians, hobbyists, and “I used to make stuff” folks included.
-
Both. You’ll choose a primary attendance method (Chicago in-person or virtual), and you can switch as needed.
-
That’s okay. Come when you can—each session stands alone, and the Discord space helps you stay connected between weeks.
-
Expect gentle “homework” that’s optional. Most people spend a little time during the week experimenting with prompts and reflecting, but you can take it at your own pace.
-
More like a supportive, structured creative accountability group. We’ll share wins + struggles, use prompts to get unstuck, and keep moving—without harsh critique.
Get the support your inner artist desperately needs.
